Me and Ray

As you can see, I was a playboy bunny and Ray was Hugh Hefner for Halloween last year. It was way fun, and kinda funny.
And these next 2 pictures are just some pics of us out and about.
Well I had some of yall ask me to post some more pictures of me and my boyfriend, or rather fiance. His name is Ray but out here in Alabama, everyone calls him Bubba. He has been called that ever since he was little. I know by Ray cause I met him at work and they call him that there. But all of his family and friends call him Bubba. Which by the way, I think is freakin hillarious. But anyway. I met Ray a little over 2 years ago at the post office. We both worked there delievering the mail, which was so much fun. I got to drive one of the mail trucks and everything. We were friends for about a year and then he decided to give a relationship a try. So we have been dating since June of 2007. This past Christmas he asked me to marry him. We had opened all of our christmas presents and then he gave me this card that he had written a sweet note in it and then at the bottom of the card, it asked if I would marry him. I looked up from the card and he was down on his knee with my ring. It was way sweet. And this past June he came out to Utah to meet the family. He had never been that far away from home, and it was a big eye opener. He really like Utah though. And hopefully, when I get done with school, I can get him to move back home with me. But no, we have not set a date to get married yet. I have to finish school before I can get married. I am on the GI Bill, which is paying for all of my schooling and books, but I can't get married or I will loose the benefits. But its all good. So yeah, I guess that is the overall of Ray and me.

Utah Trip

Me and the boys (Tommy, Jacob and Fred) on top of Snowbird. They are so freakin big and make me look extremely short, even though I am 5'7". But they tower over me now.
Me and Fred sitten out from playing basketball with the boys.
Me and Stephan playing basketball, notice all of the sweat.

Me and Ray at the top of Snowbird. He was so amazed with the mountains. This good old country boy has never been on the other side of the Mississippi and so this trip was an eye opener to the world outside of the south.

Me and the boys just being us.

And the boys getting aggravated with how into myself I can be.lol.

And for some reason they love doing this to me everytime I come to Utah.

Well this past June, Ray(my boyfriend) and I took a trip to California and then we drove up to Utah to see the family. We had a really good time getting to see everyone and the boys had a good time checking out the new boyfriend and giving their approval of him. Its amazing how all of my brothers are younger than me, yet they have assumed the role of my older brothers in that they are very protective of me. Funny. And I guess that now I am the smallest of them all, I guess they do need to watch out for me now. I still can't believe how big they have all gotten. Even Corrye is taller than me.

Grandmother

Well as some of you know, my sweet Grandmother passed away suddenly about 3 weeks ago on July 10th. I am still in shock over it. She was healthy as a horse and had at least 10-15 years of good living and she just suddenly passed away at home. I have been living with her for the past 3 years now, and was going to continue living with her until I finished nursing school. She was not only my Grandmother, but my best friend. Through thick and thin, she was there for me. And I especially needed her, seeing as which all of my immediate family lives in Utah, and I don't have much in the way of friends down here in Alabama. I don't know if it is me or just the girls down here but I don't feel like I click into their clicks all that well. And besides that, I always had Grandmother, and so I didn't feel like I needed to really make all that much in the way of friends. My uncle describes me and my Grandmother as a couple of teenagers, always sneeking off and getting into trouble. And that is exactly how we were. We would go to the movies together, go shopping or just hang out at home and watch our favorite TV shows together. I still really can't believe that she is gone. I still have 3 more semester left of nursing school and now I am having to find a new place to live and a new job. What a 2 and a half years this has been. Since I have moved to Alabama, I have lost my Granddaddy, then 8 months later, I lost my Dad, and now my Grandmother. I know that God will only give you as much as you can handle, but here lately, I think that he is a bit over confident in me.
